cul-de-sac
This weekend is the second week of da da kamera’s Cul-De-Sac. Written and performed by Daniel MacIvor, it is a really fantastic solo show. MacIvor portrays 9 characters, neighbors in a quiet suburban development, as they discuss the untimely death of their solitary gay neighbor Leonard. MacIvor also portrays Leonard, in life and speaking from the beyond.
The script is insightful, eloquent and literate and MacIvor’s performance is truly virtuosic. He won an Obie award for 2001’s In On It and a GLAAD award that same year.
