Two Big Openings

Last night P.S. 122 started off 2004 with two new shows and a huge party.

The evening started across the street at Theater for the New City, where P.S. 122 is presenting Forced Entertainment’s Instructions for Forgetting.

Spotted in the sold-out crowd queuing for the 7:30 performance: Richard Maxwell and Tory Vazquez, Roselee Goldberg, Boo Froebel accompanied by Aaron Landsman, and Peter Petralia accompanied by Ellie Covan.

Back at P.S. 122, another sold-out crowd showed up for the premiere of Big Art Group‘s House of No More. Spotted in this crowd: Justin Bond, Mike Albo and assorted Dazzle Dancers as well as David Byrne, perched precariously in the back of the house.

After the shows everyone came together to celebrate and mingle at Plaid until the wee hours of morning. At least Culturebot did, and is paying for it this morning. Ouch.

If you missed this night of festivity, don’t worry, there’s more to come! On Thursday, January 15th, see either Instructions for Forgetting or House of No More and then make your way over to Waikiki Wally’s for a party sponsored by The Onion and Brooklyn Brewery.
