Some of you may not know that your faithful Culturebot editor was a blogger for many a year before he hung up the personal site and started making Culturebot. I had wanted to do an arts-oriented blog for a long time, but it took awhile. Finally, inspired by the Gawker.com Media Empire (and the ever-fantastic Gothamist.com which, by the way, recently started a very promising arts section with theater news & reviews), we got this thing up and running back in January.

I’m glad to see that we are, maybe, in some small way, influencing the big boys on the block. Gawker has just started to do 5 Questions Interviews!
