After postponing her January engagement at P.S. 122 due to injury, acclaimed choreographer Sarah Michelson returns to New York on Wednesday, June 15th to premiere her new piece DAYLIGHT, a quartet to live music in the upstairs room of P.S. 122.

Her first new piece since 2003’s much-lauded two-part, site-specific epic Shadowmann, parts I and II, in Daylight Michelson works with many of the same collaborators, to expand on and refine the concepts of her earlier work.

Created by Sarah Michelson in collaboration with Parker Lutz, Mike Iveson and Greg Zuccolo. Also: Claude Wampler, Dominic Cullinan, Lindsey Fisher, Joe Levasseur, Kyle Kennedy, Barbara Bryan, Tony Brown, Derek Lloyd and Cheda.

Daylight is a commissioning project by the Walker Art Center in partnership with PS 122 and the National Performance Network Creation Fund. Daylight has received creation support from the Doris Duke Fund for Dance of the National Dance Project, a program administered by the New England Foundation for the Arts; The DNA Project, a program of Arts International; and the Jerome Foundation of St. Paul, MN
