Meredith Drum creates experimental, narrative and documentary videos. Her videos have been and will be part of the ‘04, ’05 and ‘06 Monkey Town Invitationals (www.monkeytownhq.com). They will also be presented this December at Participant Inc (www.participantinc.org). Her current production, a video essay about climate change, features Juliana Francis (of Richard Foreman’s Ontological Theater). She has worked as a cameraperson and editor on a documentary about poet Kenneth Koch and on several four-channel installations for Montgomery Knott, of Monkey Town, including working as a cinematographer for Mr. Knott on location in Morocco in 2004. In addition to working in video, Meredith is also a writer. Her poems and short stories have been published in a number of magazines, including Pierogi Press (www.pierogi2000.com) and in the edition of Ploughshares Magazine edited by her mentor Paul Muldoon (www.pshares.org). Her plays have been performed at Tonic and Galapagos Art Space in NYC and at Les Falaises in Paris. In 2003, Meredith earned an MA in Literature from Middlebury College and Oxford University, UK, where she received academic and creative writing awards.

Miles Champion’s books include Sore Models and Three Bell Zero. Air Ball and 30 Definitions came stapling in from Tolling Elves last year. He has collaborated with Alan Davies and Trevor Winkfield, among others, and lives in Brooklyn.

Sam Hillmer co-founded the chamber ensemble/band “Zs” and is co-founder of Wet Ink, a non-profit new music presenting organization, ensemble, and composer’s collective. Hillmer’s music has been performed at Columbia University’s experimental music series, the Institute for Contemporary Performance at Mannes college, the VAV gallery (Montreal, Canada), Ostrava Days Festival (Ostrava, Czech Republic), and the Neon Hates You Festival (Los Angeles, California) and elsewhere. As a saxophonist, he has performed with the Downtown Ensemble, the OCNM Ensemble, the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, the Columbia University Composers Ensemble, and the Orchestra of the S.E.M. Ensemble. Recordings of his music are available on labels New Sonic, Planaria recordings, Epicene sound systems and Troubleman Unlimited. His new work, “…what won’t come…” will be premiered by the S.E.M. Ensemble on December 20th at the Paula Cooper Gallery.

The Theatre of a Two-headed Calf was founded by director Brooke O’Harra and composer Brendan Connelly in 1997 and has since expanded into a design-based collective that includes Justin Townsend (set/light), Peter Ksander (set/light), Michael Phillips (video/tech), and Barb Lanciers (choreography). The Two-headed Calf is part of HERE’s HARP program and are recent recipients of the LMCC’s Swing Space grant. They will be premiering Major Barbara at La MaMa’s Annex Theater in January.
