This Thursday is the opening of Andrew Dawson’s Absence & Presence at P.S. 122. I posted about it just a few days ago, but it is really beautiful and eloquent and you should definitely check it out.

And then next Thursday, May 4, is the Performance Space 122 Spring Gala which is going to be fantastic. This will be a very special evening celebrating the life and work of Spalding Gray featuring an exclusive preview of Leftover Stories to Tell with performances by Jonathan Ames, Eric Bogosian, Hazelle Goodman, Judith Ivey, Jay McInerney, Rosie O’Donnell, and James Urbaniak. There will be an art auction featuring creations by artists including Laurie Anderson, Matthew Barney, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Philip Glass, John Waters, and William Wegman, as well as other exciting items from weekend escapes and fabulous dinners to luxury fashion and jewelry – even a bike! Wine and beer and spirits will be provided thanks to the generosity of event sponsors Bedell Cellars, Corey Creek Vineyards and Cobra Beer.

Good times, good times. Come to the Angel Orensanz Foundation to celebrate and also help P.S. 122 raise money to keep doing all the good things it does.
