Oh Yeah, I’m Back. And what’s up at PS122.

Since Culturebot just spent two weeks doing a low-budget chillout tour of the Mayan Riviera he, unfortunately, missed two fantastic weeks at PS122. But since it was Culturebot’s first time out of the building, basically, in the past three years and came on the heels of a Syd Barrett-style meltdown (without the drugs), we hope you will indulge his absence. I’m feeling much better now. Hot sun, clear blue water and time away from cell phones, internets and crises can work wonders! Anyhoo, I’m a lousy and lazy photographer, but there’s a few photos of mexico here. If any of the people I met send me some of their photos, I’ll post them as well.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: After the jump there’s a line-up of what’s next at P.S.122! Including the ongoing performances by The TEAM -which is crazy fun! – Irish Modern Dance Theater working with downtown favorite Chris Yon; Adrienne Truscott (featuring Neal Medlyn and Carmine Covelli); and the enigmatic and surprising work of the UK’s rotozaza.

Rotozaza Five in the Morning and Doublethink
Twisted and mischievous, Doublethink is an epic story-experiment about freedom, the farce of self-knowledge and the times we prefer being told what to do. In Five in the Morning, three willing guests take instructions from the loudspeakers of Aquaworld, an enormous swimming pool complex. At first hilarious and fun, their predicament transforms slowly into a strange and powerful reality.
