Free Series of Czech Acting Workshops in NYC: March 20th – April 6th

Acting with the Inner Partner
A solo improvisation discipline
for studying and practicing the fundamental principles of acting and dramatic play

For actors, directors, writers, teachers & those working with the public.

“Acting with the Inner Partner” is a unique, holistic, psychophysical training method. The discipline has been in development for over thirty years under the guidance of its creator, Professor Ivan Vyskočil, a celebrated and respected actor, writer, researcher, psychologist and educator. He was one of the most important protagonists of Czech absurd and small-forms theatre of the 1960s, and a collaborator of many of leading Czech contemporaries including Václav Havel. Professor Vyskočil and his team from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) will give a no cost, three-week workshop in New York City from March 20th-April 6th, 2007.

Location: Introductory week from March 20th – March 24th, 2007, Bohemian National Hall – 325 East 73rd St. Continuing from March 26th to April 6th at a location to be announced.
