On Wednesday, March 28th Performance Space 122 will host a special presentation about the work of Lhotakova + Soukup Contemporary Dance company from Czech Republic. Lhotakova + Soukup is a company that works with non-dancers of different age groups, focusing on social issues and stories of different real people and their life stories. Director Ladislav Soukup will show work samples and speak about the performances that he and choreographer Krystina Lhotakova have created including The Question for Next Year which was made with an 80 year old performer and Featured that was choreographed with three men in their 50s. Soukup will also discuss Hansel and Gretel (or The Name of the Game), a new piece commissioned by Performance Space 122 and featuring four teenagers.
