Two Dirty Words
From our friends at Dance/NYC:
Can you say CAREER TRANSITIONS?
Many dancers of all ages just don’t want to face the fact that someday most will have to retire from performing and will have the rest of their lives in front of them. Join us and Career Transitions for Dancers as we present a panel of dancers who have successfully made the transition into new careers and learn about CTFD’s programs that can prepare you for what is to come. You’re never too young to begin the process.
The panel:
Tori Sparks, member of J Mandle Performance and AMDaT, yoga teacher and video artist
Leslie Arlette Boyce, former member of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane, Jose Limon, and Katherine Dunham companies; dance professor and photographer
Scott Willingham, formerly of David Parsons, Jane Comfort, Susan Marshall, currently finishing his MA and an expert in Movement Rehab
Karah Abiog, dencer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
