Saint Joan and The Devil

New work at P.S.122 this week and next. This wednesday is the opening of San Francisco company foolsFury‘s The Devil on All Sides. This is a New York premiere of a new play by French writer Fabrice Melquiot. A story of the war in the former Yugoslavia it is a poetic and moving show by France’s most exciting young playwright. And the following week is the opening of Lear de Bessonet and Stillpoint Productions‘ original staging of Brecht’s Saint Joan of the Stockyards. de Bessonet’s re-imagining of Brecht’s text includes alt-country music by Kelley McRae as well as inventive staging and extensive re-workings of the original script.
