Things are picking up this week at PS122 with two very different but very cool shows, both opening on February 20th.

In case you haven’t heard, it’s a midwinter trans-fest when Ethyl Eichelberger Award recipient and Tony Nominated performer Justin Bond comes to the PS122 stage with LUSTRE. Featuring: Our Lady J, Glenn Marla, Nathan Carrera …and The Pixie Harlots; plus special surprise guests nightly, including Taylor Mac and M. Lamar. Under the musical direction of Jonnah Speidel, JUSTIN BOND will heat up your winter nights serving up a heady mix of Glamour, Gender Queer Cabaret, and Sexy Provocation!!

And then Temporary Distortion’s Welcome to Nowhere (bullet hole road) opens that same night, downstairs. You may have seen earlier versions of the show at The Ontological or The Chocolate Factory but come check out the definitive version before Temporary Distortion leaves for the Via Festival in Maubeuge, France and the Exit Festival in Paris this spring.

Part road movie, part fractured memory, part love story...Welcome to Nowhere (bullet hole road) is a hybrid of theater and cinema. During the performance, a constant stream of video is projected above the cast. In scenes of prolonged stillness, silence and impassivity, doppelgangers of the characters we meet onstage navigate a hyper-real cinematic landscape as if lost in a dream, creating parallel narratives that echo, reflect and refract each moment of the play.
