Since at least the 1990s, artists have been making work that combines their love for Hip Hop culture and performance with the conventions of many forms of theatre. In this roundtable and community dialogue, key artists and producers in the Hip Hop Theatre movement will discuss how they have come to create work that is called Hip Hop Theatre, their experiences programming and producing Hip Hop Theatre at arts institutions, their vision for the future of the movement, and their thoughts for the current generation of Hip Hop Theatre artists and artists wanting to create their own revolutionary brand of work.
