The Other Seder:UK
For our London-based readers an interesting performance event produced by the JCC London:
Contemporary dance, performance and live music
Contemporary Dance choreographer Hofesh Shechter, who wowed audiences with Uprising and In Your Rooms in 2007 at the Place, South Bank and Sadlers Wells, will create a new piece of work, especially for the JCC, around the theme of punishment in the Plagues.
Joshua Sofaer will also present a new JCC commission, turning the obligation to ask Questions at Passover into a Seder Cabaret. And to finish off the evening, fifteen piece ‘anarchic gypsy-punk orchestra’ The Destroyers, who have stormed the festival circuit from Glastonbury to Bestivals, will set a party vibe to bring down Wiltons’ crumbling roof.
