The Accursed Items

Just got this note from Andrew Dinwiddie about some preview and benefit events for his show The Accursed Items that will premiere at the Ontological in September.

From Andrew:

June 13th and 14th is going to be an amazing weekend with four fantastic ways to be nice to me and to art and to yourself!

We’re doing a workshop production at BAX of The Accursed Items, which better be good because we’ve been working on it forever!  Each night has uniquely wonderful special guests. And there’s a benefit party each night – one if you’re feeling ritzy and another if you’re feeling down and dirty!!!

Friday 13 June

7 pm: Beer-and-Cheese Pairing sponsored by the Dogfish Head Brewery, and hosted by Master Pairer Chris Munsey of Murray ’s Cheese. It’s a steal at $50!

8pm: Workshop performance of The Accursed Items + a reading by the brilliant author J. Robert Lennon, who’s been featured in everybody’s-favorites triumvirate: This American Life, McSweeney’s and Harper’s.  $15 ($8 Low Income) all goes to BAX to support the Artist in Residence Program!

Info and reservations: www.bax.org

Saturday 14th June

8pm: Workshop performance of The Accursed Items + a mini Catch: performances by three defining artists of our generation: Karinne Keithley, Daniel Linehan and Neal Medlyn!!!   $15 ($8 Low Income) all goes to BAX to support the Artist in Residence Program!

Info and reservations: www.bax.org

9:30pm and all night long: Drinking to excess at Jackie’s 5th Amendment, my absolute favorite bar, which is also right across the street from BAX, on 5th Ave and 7th Street in Park Slope. Whiskeys are $4 and they sell beers by the bucket.

$10 Cover or free if you’re just wearing negligee.*
