Last night the Eighth International Toy Theater Festival came to a close after more than a week of programming. For the last evening’s program, the line up consisted of Peter Schumann (creator of the Vermont based Bread and Puppet Theater), Great Small Works, work by Seth Bockley and Frank Maugeri (both involved in Chicago’s Redmoon Theater) and the L.A. based Paul Zaloom and Lynn Jeffries. If you are interested in puppetry, or if you still think puppetry is only for children, you should definitely keep your eyes out for future events by these companies. Their work is fun, engaging and the puppetry scene brings warmth to New York City!
