BAM: “A Quarreling Pair”

The Bill T. Jones Arnie Zane Company is at BAM this weekend with A Quarelling Pair, and it’s great. Jones has brought together vaudeville presentational dance with his sophisticated choreography and his stunning sense of visual composition. Claudia La Rocco already reviewed the piece here. If you don’t know Jones’ work, it’s a great way to see a combination of top of the art dancing (his dancers are beautiful: strong, flexible, expressive and individual in their movement qualities) and critical and socially engaged dance. Jones manages to address questions of race, sexuality and gender with humor, elegance and honesty. Don’t miss his work!
