Temporary Distortion is seeking a volunteer intern for its current work in progress, Americana Kamikaze (US Premiere: Performance Space 122, New York 10/09. European Premiere: EXIT Festival, Paris 03/10).

The intern will provide administrative support for the company in areas such as publicity, fundraising, and research, allowing for valuable practical experience in the operation of a professional non-profit touring theater company.

Clerical duties will be balanced out by production work, including: taking rehearsal notes, assisting with loading/unloading of tours, learning computer based lighting, sound and video control systems, etc.

All work will be based at Temporary Distortion’s rehearsal studio in Long Island City, Queens. Future overseas opportunities may become available based on the staffing needs of the company when on tour.
