The Department of Sound, Performance, and Visual Inquiry is a dynamic contemporary academic community housed within a public liberal arts university. We seek an experimental performer at the rank of Assistant Professor to develop and teach courses bridging music and theatre, to foster innovative student projects, and to help shape and further the department’s interdisciplinary, ideas based mission. The successful candidate will have created a body of work that challenges traditional boundaries and draws on a variety of media, especially current digital technologies. Qualifications include a terminal degree in music, theatre, or related arts field. 3/3 course load. Position begins September 1, 2010.
