memes of late

okay so i’m not sure what to make of it, but i seem to be hearing  a lot more about sex addiction (tiger woods), hoarders, the happiness project and “the end of cute” than before. hmmm. how do these things go together, if at all? is it the last gasp of 2009? what does it mean?
