APAP has exploded on the downtown scene over the past few years and this is without a doubt the busiest year to date. We will be trying to see as much as possible – but since the “we” is just me, well, that might be kind of limited. Just a quick rundown on some of the festivals that are happening in mid-January:

• Under the Radar at the Public (and other venues)
• COIL at PS122
• American Realness Festival at Abrons Arts (and other venues)
• Other Forces at The Ontological
• APAP at HERE (Culturemart starts too!)

I’m sure I’m missing some – and goodness knows there’s stuff going on at venues all over the city.  This is a great time to catch up on work that you may have missed earlier on in the season. Its also a great time to see new work, especially from out of town,  usually for cheap.
