CALL TO ARTISTS: SITE FEST 2010

SITE Fest 2010
March 6-7, 2010

Presented by Arts in Bushwick

SITE Fest is a two-day, multi-location interdisciplinary event, highlighting the diversity of performance in Bushwick. Encompassing theatre, dance, music, and other forms of performance/live art, SITE seeks to expand the interaction between spectators and spectacle, as both artists and visitors move through spaces, events, media, and styles. You don’t have to live or work in Bushwick to participate, all performers and groups are welcome!

SITE centers around three hub spaces: Chez Bushwick (www.chezbushwick.net), Grace Exhibition Space (www.grace-exhibition-space.com), and 3rd Ward (www.3rdward.com).

Performances will also take place in alternate locations including galleries, homes, studios, streets, and gardens. You can register to perform in your own space (as long as it’s in Bushwick), or you can register to perform in one of the hub spaces, where you will get space to perform, basic tech, and the support of a space manager and tech manager. All registered performances are promoted through a profile on our website, and receive a listing in our printed map and program.

Finally, if you are a musician who’s interested in performing as part of SITE, please contact music@artsinbushwick.org to register for ionSOUND, their corresponding music festival. ionSOUND will take place on March 6 + 7 at Goodbye Blue Monday (www.goodbye-blue-monday.com).

Registration is open until February 5th, so act fast! Go here for more information on Festival registration, or email performance@artsinbushwick.org.
