Enjoy an evening of cocktails, prizes and theater! ‘Pataphysics seeks your support as they raise funds to help offset the cost of the Erik Ehn silent retreat for playwrights, to be held this summer.

‘Now in its second year, ‘Pataphysics’ retreat in the Catskills for playwrights is pleased to offer two opportunities—one of which happens to be their longest and most extensive retreat. It also happens to be the most expensive. Your support will help make the retreat affordable for participating writers by covering some of the costs of room and board at the two offsite workshops.

THE RULES OF SLEEPAWAY CAMP (excerpt)

Annie, age 15, is determined that this will be the year that she conquers her sleepaway camp of choice, a selective academic summer program for gifted middle school students. Her roommate, Leila, has never attended before, but quickly falls in love with her new environment, and also with the camp boyfriend she acquires, Kevin. Dodging flying peppermints, deformed Noxema jars, kidnappers, claw-knives, aggressive squirrels, not to mention the ever-present threat of swine flu, the characters doggedly pursue their respective goals until the unexpected happens, at the second weekend Saturday night costume dance.
