Routledge Press, anyone?

Does anyone out there have a connection at Routledge Press? I just found two titles that I would love to read and review but I just can’t afford to shell out the dough right now.

I’ve been thinking a lot about cognition and how the act of watching performance effects our cognitive processes. So, of course, I googled it. I found this book called Performance and Cognition: Theatre Studies and the Cognitive Turn and another one called The Provocation of the Senses in Contemporary Theatre – and I would love to read them, particularly the latter.

I think this is probably a really rich field of study – how the  brain processes live performance and what the means to performance makers. How do we, physiologically, engage the imagination? What is the cognitive benefit to paying attention to performance, to suspending disbelief, to the practice of applied imagination and empathy?

Anyway – if anyone has a lead on how to get ahold of one of these books or knows of other articles/books on the subject, let me know.
