Contemporary Performance Network’s Video Documentation Contest

Just a quick note–our friends over at Contemporary Performance Network have been running a series of little weekly competitions that are actually pretty cool. This week’s contest is for video documentation of performance. Long and the short of it is, you add your video to their video pages and (or just do this if you already have one onsite) add the tag “videocontest01.” Then tell all your Facebook friends to “like” the page. Whoever has the most likes at the end of the week wins a free tote bag and a week’s worth of exposure for the video on CPN’s homepage.

The prize isn’t that big, obviously, but it is a super cool way to expose your work to the larger community. And oh, if you don’t know what Contemporary Performance Network is, check it out and sign up. Launched by the creative people behind Big Art Group, it’s an amazing (if sometimes hard to navigate) resource linking artists in experimental theater, dance, music, video, and performance art from around the world. I check through it all the time, and it’s constantly improving.

And just by way of example (not that I want to prejudice anyone in this strict contest), but seriously, check out Ravenna, Italy’s Gruppo nanou‘s trailer for Motel Project.
