chashama seeks an energetic organization or group of artists to program our 74-seat black box theater on East 42nd Street from May 1, 2007 until November 1, 2007. The challenge for the resident organization will be to program the space as completely as possible for its final five months. The resident organization will be responsible for programming the space with readings, plays, music, film screenings, installations, window performances, community events, dance parties, puppet shows, exhibitions and anything else that will allow the artistic community to fully utilize the space. The resident organization will work with the chashama staff to manage the practical requirements of the space, and any income will be split 50/50 between the resident organization and chashama.
