Dance Conversations Request for Proposals

Dance Conversations at The Flea
The Flea Theater, NYC

Curated by Nina Winthrop
October 2005 through May 2006
Proposal Deadline: July 29, 2005

Proposals are now being accepted for Dance Conversations at The Flea, a free monthly series at The Flea Theater, curated by Nina Winthrop and administered by Program Coordinator Cassandra Weston. Dance Conversations at The Flea features works in progress by emerging and mid-career choreographers, followed by an open discussion between the artists and the audience, moderated by choreographer Nina Winthrop and special guests. Each evening, four choreographers will have the opportunity to share 10-15 minutes of work. The first Dance Conversations at The Flea will take place on October 11th at 7:00 PM.

Now in its third season, Dance Conversations was created so that artists working in the field of dance could bring their work to be viewed in a professional and informal setting by established and emerging choreographers, experienced dancers as well as enthusiastic audience members. Dance Conversations @ The Flea encourages the development of new work and ideas and promotes provocative and intimate dialogue between artists and audiences.

The dates of Dance Conversations at The Flea 2005/2006 are:

Tuesday, October 11th at 7pm
Tuesday, November 8th at 7pm
