Another Excuse to Drink: The Elegant Debauchery Salon

Redmask Theater Company is hosting a launch party, dubbed the Elegant Debauchery salon, to benefit its upcoming one-act play and music festival. According to the email:

ReddMask’s festival, An Assembly of Quotable Gents, is an exciting collection of three original one-act plays celebrating saloon life in NYC. From Jackson Pollock’s old haunt, The Cedar Tavern, to the notorious McGurk’s Suicide Hall of the 1890s, Assembly dramatizes tales from NYC’s underbelly and appropriately returns them to the city bar. (Venues include, Galapagos, Mo Pitkin’s and Union Pool). Preceding each play is a half hour of live music acts inspired by the play’s time period, including Irish, blues and jazz.

The party will be held on Sunday April 29 at 7pm at the Back Room bar (the L.E.S. venue owned in part by actor Tim Robbins). Admission is free.
