Pageant Play

Just a heads-up for you folks who like the comedy. There will be a staged reading of Matthew Wilkas and Mark Setlock’s PAGEANT PLAY as part of the Primary Stages Readings series this Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 3PM.

I saw an earlier staged reading and was blown away by its sheer hilarity. The show is described as, “An irreverent and hilarious look at the twisted world of child pageants, focuses on two ruthless stage mothers, two rival pageant coaches and the one tiara everyone wants to win.”

This version is directed by Trip Cullman and  features Daiva Deupree, Jenn Harris, Mark Setlock, and Matthew Wilkas.

Anybody who has ever seen Jenn Harris in anything knows she is a comedic WMD, and this role lets her just chew up and spit out the scenery like nobody’s business.

It is sure to be packed so reserve early by emailing JK@thekatzcompany.com
