if you happen to be in dublin
Ever wondered what on earth the Dublin Fringe Festival is looking for?
This year for the first time the Fringe is offering pre-application talks open to all interested parties on Tuesday 19th February.
Topics that will be covered include: the online application process, supporting material requirements, financial deal offered by the festival and fundraising. This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet with the Fringe Festival core team and also to network with fellow art makers.
The Starting Point (5.30pm) is an opportunity for those interested in applying in 2008 to meet with the Fringe Festival core team to get a better feel for what we are looking for in an application, to talk through the online process and the different requirements for supporting material, and to know both what to expect from the festival and what the festival expects from each company.
Cha-Ching! Financing the Project (7pm) will guide you through the basic financial deal the festival offers, sample budgets, fundraising at a grass roots level and Arts Council Theatre Specialist David Parnell will speak about Arts Council Project Grants.
The workshops will take place at Fringe HQ, Sackville House, Sackville Place, Dublin 1. These are free events and everybody is welcome.
