Oh so I went and saw the Be(a)st of Taylor Mac at HERE Arts Center on Tuesday. It was a fun ride through Taylor’s back catalogue of songs, skits and sequins. And guess who sat behind me? That’s right! Joan Rivers!! Looking absolutely, stunningly surreal. God bless her. I refrained from reminding her about when I interviewed her for a bar rag back in 2003 or 2004 or whatever. But I hope she liked the show. Can you imagine a Taylor Mac/Joan Rivers double-bill and/or smackdown?! Good times!!!
