End of An Era (a very short era)
Just so everybody knows, I resigned as artistic director of IRT this weekend. Unfortunately there are some insurmountable creative differences, which, in addition to a lack of administrative and executive support, have made it untenable. I regret that all the great artists and projects that I was developing will not have an immediate home, but I can’t move forward in good conscience knowing that there will not be organizational infrastructure, governance or appropriate financial transparency to support artists and theatermakers as I would like.
I continue to support IRT as a great, inexpensive rehearsal space and resource for theater groups looking for a low-budget alternative to present and develop their work.
I will be focusing my attention on Culturebot, PRELUDE, my own creative projects and building a new company for producing innovative live arts.
