Brooklyn Art:Work BRIC Contemporary Art 2009 Gala

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn celebrated the achievements of 16 Brooklyn-based contemporary artists from various neighborhoods who are emblematic of Brooklyn’s status as a global creative capital at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios. Co-chaired by Leslie Alexander and Kerry Le Blanc Strong, the Brooklyn Art:Work BRIC Contemporary Art 2009 Gala honored Jaishri Abichandani, Leslie Alfin, Deborah Brown, Ernest Concepcion, Angela Dufresne, Joe Fyfe, Chitra Ganesh, Julie Heffernan, Katarina Jerinic, Laura Karetzky, Andrew Mockler, Walter Martin and Paloma Muñez, Chloe Piene, Cordy Ryman, and John Zinsser. All proceeds from the gala support BRIC’s contemporary art exhibition and education programs at BRIC Rotunda Gallery and around the borough.
