Give Jay Wegman an award

Was just talking with some friends about the amazing work that Jay Wegman has done at Abrons Arts Center. In a few short years he’s taken an off-the-beaten-path nothing of a space and turned it into a veritable hive of contemporary performance activity, easily one of the most adventurous and exciting venues in NYC. I don’t know who does those special Obie awards or whatever – but someone should acknowledge the great work that Jay has done and the incredible contribution Abrons is making to the contemporary performance scene.

Speaking of which – At Abrons this weekend is Jeremy Wade, next weekend is Big Art Group  and on the 19th a very special one-night-only engagement of Julie Atlas Muz’s Beauty and the Beast!!!
