Culturebot recommends Rachel Chavkin’s staging of Uncle Vanya at the E. 13th St. Theater that is being presented as part of Columbia Classics Downtown. It is a very clever, innovative and moving production. It has two more performances.

We haven’t seen DJ:REMIX the re-staging of Don Juan that is the other play in this repertory offering, but if it is as strong as Vanya then that is pretty impressive.
