*If you just…*

”If you just…” – collective new media / dance work which combines dance and internet in a new way. If You Just… project consists of three separate but connected parts: dance video about loneliness (directed by Hanna Lappalainen, music by Anja Mauranen); website forming around the original video and contribution videos from all over the world; and the final live dance performance (by Noora Nenonen) made by using the material of the web page.

If You Just… is a commission for Tanssin aika (‘Time for Dance’) festival in Jyväskylä, September 2008. (FINLAND!!)

We invite you to view the project site and to join the project by sending your own video response via YouTube. Submission to project until August 30, 2008.

1. View project videos at works page ( Choose a video you’d like to send a response to (by making a dance video, words, texts etc.) and make your comment

2. Upload your response by selecting the chosen video in works page and by clicking ‘Send your response at YouTube’. At YouTube page select ‘Post a video response’ or tai ‘Post a text comment’ depending on how you would like to comment

3. Fill in ‘Join the project form’ on net (end of the page

We’re expecially hoping to receive dance video submissions but also other comments (speach, texts, music) are welcome!

There is no charge in taking part to this project. Also, there are no fees to be paid of screening of the videos. The project material will not be used to commercial purposes.

There’s a possibility to short (max. 200 words) artist introduction with 1-2 images, link to your homepage and contact information on the artists page in All the people taking part to this project have an equal right to present it and to use it in his/her own non-commercial productions. (Note!  We cannot give any permissions to show individual works.)
