the horror the horror – Abrons Arts Center from lala on Vimeo.

A week or so ago Culturebot went to see The Horror The Horror at Abrons Arts Center. This “largely improvised live sound and video performance spectacle” was pretty f’in awesome. A total sensory overload of video, soundscape and live performance. I had some serious conversations afterwards about what it all “meant”. I’m not exactly sure, to be honest, but it was a heck of a lot of cool, trippy fun. Beautiful and haunting, like shoe-gazing revery gone haywire, the pictures in your mind when listening to My Bloody Valentine or Godspeed You Black Emperor. Swirls of reality upended in your mind. Good times, good times.

This show ended on April 2nd and you're just now getting around to telling us all about it? C'mon, guys. This show sounds AMAZING and I didn't hear zip about it. I really wish I had heard about this show, I would have gone. I know plenty of people who would also probably have gone. I think you guys need to stop being behind the eight ball re: informing us of interesting performances happening.
