Save the date: George Stamos at BAC
Keith Hennessy’s show at the New Museum on Friday featured a collaboration with Montreal-based choreographer/performer George Stamos. We were really taken with Stamos’ improvisational skill and his movement. We will definitely be trying to make it to Baryshnikov Arts Center for the world premiere of Stamos’ CLOAK – June 16-18, Wed-Fri at 7:30 PM.
In this show Stamos and his collaborator, singer/songwriter/dancer Clara Furey, use virtuosic dancing and provocative multimedia imagery to explore the concept of masking identity and the body’s capacity to express extreme states of being. With an original electroacoustic score by Tomas Furey, video design works by Dayna McLeod, and lyrics by Clara Furey.
